Mercy.net: Newsroom Overhaul

Mercy.net: Newsroom Overhaul

The last section of our site overhaul was the newsroom. This became an even higher priority once Covid-19 hit and patients needed quick and reliable resources when it came to new hospital standards and procedures, Covid testing and access to vaccine information.

What we needed to achieve:

  • Create opportunities to integrate other Mercy.net content (service pages, locations, etc.) into the news story in a seamless manner

  • Create opportunities to showcase related stories based on things like community or topic tags

  • Introduce a better way to link out to external sites, such as local news outlets, within a news story

  • Incorporate design framework from active UX Overhaul pieces and pages for consistency
