Mercyone: an internal streaming and virtual live event platform
Due to our company being fully remote for Covid, an unexpected need for Mercy to create a streaming and live event platform appeared. It was such a crucial time where we needed stay connected with leadership and other co-workers. Due to time constraints, the UX team partnered with a vendor for the development and we rapidly produced the architecture, wireframes and designs for MercyOne.

MercyOne Overall Goals
This system needed to host virtual events from anywhere in the ministry with thousands viewing at the same time. It is interfacing with Sling Studio, our SSO, and Adobe Experience Manager.
Additional goals for the project:

Include a clear 'assignment' system where co-workers could view videos assigned to them by their job title and view new videos available
Allow room for the evolution of future needs

Live event Moderation Tool
During a live event, the moderation team coordinates and prioritizes all questions asked. The tool was created for multiple users at once - where the team reviews submitted questions and sends selected ones on to the main moderator who then asks questions from the curated list to the live participants. Only the moderators can see the submitted questions.
Additional Goals:
The main moderator must be able to send near real-time question prompts to all viewers of a live event
After the event is over the team must be able to export the full list of questions submitted, asked and hidden
The moderator should be able to begin and end the Q&A session
